hy,
open the config.xml file. for resize the thumbnailbox modify the thumbsScrollViewAreaWidth and thumbsScrollViewAreaHeight parameters. To move the box change the thumbsX and thumbY param.

Is this gallery resizable? I need to enlarge it to 817px x416px?

Edit the html file where the Flash object resides and change the width and height parameters of the Flash object for both object and embed tags.

Is there a way to put an image over the large picture with in the flash file. I am wanting to put a small button in the lower left hand corner.

Sure, you need to edit the .fla file in Flash and create a new layer over the big image clip layer and put your symbol(s).
